I just got to rewatch this episode without glitching every other moment, so I think I'm ready to talk about it now. Although I fear a great deal of what I'm about to say is massively personally biased crack!

So, I give you: the episode in which everyone except Adama learns that you can wake up one day and decide, "to hell with the rules."

So...yeah. I wanted to break into tears twice this episode. The first time was for good reasons. The second, not so much. Beware the bitter.

Three entries in two days! My word!

I watched Doctor Who today. I've been putting off watching it because I missed a couple and wanted to catch up, but I sort of figured I was home and bored and not watching was just creating a backlog, and hey, I LIKE Doctor Who.

( It was all right, I guess. Also, getting over Rose and Martha's Ma. Um, that's getting over Rose and then Martha's Ma as a separate issue. Not, how the Doctor's going to get over his deep love for Martha's Ma. Though that could make for entertaining television. )

I’ve been putting off writing this for a while and I can’t really explain why. Perhaps the episode needed time to settle in my mind. It left me with a strange sense that this should be the last episode, unresolved as it is. Also, this is monster long, even for me. Use of cut-tags to skip to more interesting sections is encouraged.

Hmm. So, I think I'll know what I think of this episode on the whole once I've seen the second half. What I have to say about this episode at this time isn't so much an overal critique as a serious of comments on various moments / characters.

I have a boatload of stuff to say about this episode, but I'm reluctant to start. I've been staring at the "Update Journal" screen for about five minutes now. Not because I didn't like it - I found the episode interesting, as usual, but because there's an awful lot. I don't know where to start.
